Teaching a tool who it’s for

Not every question wants the same voice. A custom agent is a saved configuration — a name, a scope of material it is allowed to draw on, a tone, a stated purpose — that turns a general capability into a specific one, without touching anything underneath it. “A solution-architecture reviewer scoped to one product line” and “a plain conversational assistant” can exist side by side, drawing on the same base and the same graph, answering differently because they were configured to.

Nothing about a custom agent is hidden from the person who configured it. Every behaviour it has been given is listed in plain language and can be opened, read and changed — there is no separate, more powerful version of the agent running underneath the one shown on screen.
